"Someday"

I wrote this poem in answer to all of our friends who said,

"Someday I'm going to travel like you do"

~Someday~

Someday I'm going to do what I want.
Someday I'll be footloose and free.
Someday I'll travel this land coast to coast.
Someday when I've saved enough money.

Someday I'll visit all my old friends.
Someday my home will have wheels.
Someday I'll choose to follow the sun.
Someday when I've paid all my bills.

Days come and go.  Time passes by
And soon we have found to our sorrow.
Best laid plans are thrown out
And our dreams fall apart
When our "someday" is always tomorrow.
